At the AGM on 17th May 2017. Paul Foster was appointed as the new chairman, taking over from William Fossick after some thirty years of service. Derek Mason was appointed as vice chairman.

At the meeting on 19th October 2022, Jeremy Siggers was voted in as Councillor, replacing the previous councillor for Star Stile in the West Ward of the Parish.

At the meeting on 14th May 2025, Debbie Wass was voted in as Councillor, replacing one of the Greenstead Green councillors who had moved away from the area.

At the meeting on 17th May 2023, Gemma Todd was voted in as Councillor replacing the previous councillor for Burtons Green in the West Ward of the Parish.

Paul Foster

Serving as a local Parish Councillor since 1995, Paul has sat at Greenstead Green and Halstead Rural Parish Council as Chairman since May 2017. He is a Chartered Surveyor and a Director at Barton Willmore, a leading design and town planning consultancy. Paul lives at Pennypot Corner and is married with two children.

Derek Mason

Having moved to Greenstead Green fourteen years ago, Derek joined the parish council in 2015 and has been vice chairman since 2017. He is the managing director of D Mason Developments Ltd and Pine side Homes Ltd. Derek lives in a house he built next to the church in Greenstead Green with his wife and two children.

Chris lives in Greenstead Green.

Debbie lives in Greenstead Green.

Ian Pleasance

Ian lives in the White Ash Green area of Halstead Rural and Greenstead Green, having moved from the London/Essex border where he was active in community management and development projects. Ian works as a Head of Systems Engineering for national and multinational Web firms, and in his free time is a hobby pilot and boxer.
